WHY ANOINTED 2023?

Diagnosis is a gift and a message. It is the Body’s way of ANOINTING US

In July of 2023, I received a diagnosis of breast cancer. After the initial shock, I quickly realized that what the world wanted to tell me about cancer and what I (and countless others) intuitively knew was quite different. My cancer diagnosis was not a death sentence, it was a health sentence. It was a call to self-healing in all areas of my life: spiritual, physical and mental. It was an ANOINTING. Anointing me to look closer at my choices, my assumptions, my thinking. Anointing me to re-member my authentic-self, who I am at the core of my being and my life’s calling. Anointing me to reconnect and more fully align my path to my Always Beloved Creator AKA the ABC.  My diagnosis was not a cancer scare narrative, it was the appointment needed for an Anointment Seeded.

In the month’s following my diagnosis I turned my will and my Heart over to my ABC. Morning meditations became my mediCations and in them I met many miracles and “downloads.” It was in one of the downloads that I heard, “Dis-ease diagnosis, or any trauma for that matter, is an ANOINTING.” When we allow fear-filled experiences to shift our perspective towards healing, towards love, towards peace, we anoint ourselves. The ANOINTED are called to remain conscious of and act from what each letter in the word ANOINTED represents: Authentic-Self, Noble Center, Open Heart, Inner Vision, Novel Wisdom, Truth Seeking, Ears to Hear, Divine Connection.

From my ANOINTED perspective, I became more fully aware of the divine guiding me towards healers who could help me navigate a curative course and steering me from that which would hinder health. One of these healers was the remarkable Reiki Master and teacher, Amber Soberón of Olé Santé. I saw her for a Reiki and sound bath session in October. Prior to seeing her, I had met with a radiologist who had a plan for radiating my left breast. When he showed me a picture of the radiation machine he would use, my entire body viscerally screamed, “NOOOOOO!” I could not ignore its cry. With Amber, bathed in the frequencies of her glorious singing bowls, my left breast, resting in restoration, resounded, “YES! YES! YES!”

Outside of my time with my ABC, those wonderful “YES! YES!” yeses were the first true healing I had felt in months. As my healing journey with Amber progressed and I learned more about Reiki, I decided that I wanted to learn this healing modality in order to practice it on both myself and others. In May of 2024, under Amber’s spectacular training, I completed all three Reiki courses within the Reiki tradition of Usui Shiko Ryoho and I received a Reiki Master Teacher certification.

My intention as a Reiki healer is to support you in your ANOINTED healing journey and remind you that regardless of the disease name a doctor gives, the truth in every diagnosis is that our body is in a state of knowledge passing through us. Our bodies are remarkable creations yearning to be healthy and whole. When our lives lose balance and we receive a diagnosis, it is the wise body wailing, “RE-MEMBER WHO YOU ARE!”  When we are told we have cancer, heart disease, diabetes, that is our amazing body singing to US its own version of Marvin Gaye's song, What Is Goin’ On? “Cells, cells, cells there are too many of us crying. Mitochondria there’s too many of us dying. You know we’ve got to FIND A WAY to bring some love to this body here, today.”
